The Flood Family: We Are Ramily! Scholarship is a non-renewable, need-based scholarship that will be awarded to students enrolled at Winston-Salem State University, who possess a 3.0 GPA or higher, and who are permanent residents of Northampton, Halifax, Hertford, and/or Bertie counties in North Carolina. Once selected, scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to select a Board Member of the Flood Family Foundation, to serve as his/her/their “Navigator” in efforts to foster and promote personal, professional, and career growth and development, for at least one academic school year.
The Navigator Program, which is the Flood Family Foundation’s commitment to building relationships, promoting advancement, and providing service to others, is a one-on-one approach focused on helping The Flood Family: We Are Ramily Scholarship recipients manage the aspects of professional and personal life that intersect — career, craft, life, and branding!
During this program, scholarship recipients will have opportunities to learn from, and share with, a chosen Navigator (or mentor), as well as become a part of the larger Flood Family Foundation network. Navigators will not only provide knowledge sharing but will also help to develop a sense of community and partnership with each student.
